The family-friendly daylong event, organized by PARA-X Radio and the “What Are You Afraid Of?” horror and paranormal show, will feature tours of the fort, displays of Victorian mourning customs, Truthseeker Astrology, tarot card readings and paranormal presentations led by PARA-X hosts as well as an array of local vendors. Para-X hosts from Spirited History will be presenting a talk called "Waking up Place Memory: Using History to stimulate the Environment for Paranormal Activity" - which blends a love of history with a passion for all things paranormal.
Authors reading at the event include rising stars of horror fiction. New authors, veteran authors and members of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Horror Writers Association will be reading. So far, we will be hearing from the following talented authors: Kenneth W. Cain, T. Fox Dunham, Phil Thomas, Michael Garrett, PD Cacek, Nick Cato, Todd Keisling and more.
The terror from their latest tales of the macabre will resonate with fans of the genre and newcomers alike in the unsettling atmosphere of Fort Mifflin, which has been featured in several paranormal television series such as Ghost Hunters and Haunts at Fort Mifflin.
