ABOUT ABOUT

During the Civil War, Fort Mifflin served as a Union army prison. Its most famous inmate was Private William H. Howe, a Union soldier who became the first and only prisoner to be executed at Fort Mifflin on August 26, 1864.

Does Howe’s spirit still occupy the Fort? You be the judge! From 7 PM to midnight, the Fort will host a special paranormal event devoted to Private Howe.

You can also review the facts surrounding Howe’s trial and execution and decide whether he was guilty or innocent.

Basic package ($55.00)
Includes:
A historical look at Howe’s case led by a Fort Mifflin historian.
A basic introduction to paranormal equipment and techniques by experts.
A guided tour and overview of the Fort’s paranormal hotspots.
The chance to experience a guided investigation of what some are calling one of the most haunted sites in America.

Premium package ($65.00)
Includes:
All the amenities of the basic package plus a 30-minute private investigation of Casemate 11, the underground cell in which Howe was held (and signed his name).

Light refreshments will also be served.

All proceeds from the event will go toward the Fort Mifflin Restoration Fund to help preserve Casemate 11 and the rest of the Fort that Saved America for future generations.
