The Trial of William H. Howe: A Special Paranormal Investigation

By Fort Mifflin (other events)

2 Dates Through Aug 23, 2015

ABOUT ABOUT

This August marks the 150th Anniversary of the execution of Fort Mifflin's most famous Civil War prisoner.  On August 26, 1864, Private William H. Howe of the 116th Pennsylvania Volunteers was hanged at the Fort after being found guilty of desertion and murder.

Come to the Fort for a special paranormal investigation.  Events will include a brief talk about the events leading up to Howe's trial and execution and the chance to investigate Casemate 11, where Howe was held in solitary confinement (and even signed his name on the wall of his cell).  Also enjoy the opportunity to examine Fort Mifflin's other "hot spots."
